About Diego

Human-Centered Therapist

I am an associate therapist drawn to this work through a lifetime of community building, embodied curiosity, and a deep commitment to collective care. My path to the mental health field has been shaped by years of being in spaces where healing, justice, and imagination were necessities, not luxuries—whether it was translating for tenants demanding dignity, co-facilitating peer advocacy trainings, or holding space for conversations about sexuality, identity, and power.

I come from a background in community health education, bilingual care, and grassroots organizing, and I carry those experiences into the therapy room. As a biracial, bisexual, genderqueer person, my therapeutic lens is deeply influenced by liberation theory, intersectionality, and the truth that we are not just individuals in pain—we are stories unfolding within systems, lineages, and relationships.

My work is grounded in honoring complexity, co-creating safety, and walking alongside people as they reclaim agency and rewrite the narratives that no longer serve them.I believe healing is not about fixing what is broken, but about making meaning from what we’ve survived—and learning to live more freely, more fully, in the truth of who we are.
